The house

Scandinavian living with modern comfort

The house offers an approx. 50 sqm living area with seating, a fireplace and TV, a kitchen and dining space for 8 people, and 4 bedrooms — three on the ground floor each with a double bed, and one upstairs (loft/hems) with two single beds. There are two well-equipped bathrooms with shower, toilet, washbasin and plenty of storage. A sauna is available for relaxation. One of the bathrooms has a washer-dryer. Upstairs, children will find a playroom with a sofa bed, games and books.

The hytte is furnished to a high standard with tasteful pieces — the beds and wardrobes were made by a carpenter from local wood, and the quality mattresses and toppers are comfortable and guarantee a restful sleep.

What makes the house special are the two high gables and large windows, which bring in plenty of light and offer sweeping views of Gålå's wonderful landscape.

Location

Beautiful in every season

Gålå sits between the Rondane and Jotunheimen mountain ranges, in the heart of the Gudbrandsdal valley — a well-known holiday region in Norway for over 130 years. In winter it's a short walk to Gålå's small downhill ski area and the nearby cross-country trails; in summer countless hiking and mountain-biking routes in the immediate surroundings invite you to explore. Gålåvatnet is just a short stroll away and perfect for swimming and boating, and the Peer Gynt festival open-air stage is within walking distance too. A very well-stocked village shop, two cafés and a mountain hotel with restaurant round out what's on offer locally.
